The Addams Family Redux
This is a demonstration intended for learning purposes and a companion to Gumpy Function's The Addams Family Redux spotlight article found at GB Studio Central.
The article uses The Addams Family, a game published in 1992 by Ocean Software to explore improvements relating to game feel by creating relatively more detailed Player Character state animations.
Download the ROM and flash to a cart to play on real hardware or run in an emulator of your choice and experience how changes to the Player Characters graphics impact the player experience itself.
Download the fully commented GBS3.1 Project File to learn more about setting up a Player Character including the following:
- Setting animation states to a specific Platformer+ state
- Implementing a Multi-directional Projectile Attack with an associated animation
- Implementing a Player Knock-back/Damage script
